28 Date Week 2- For the Guys. . .

Last week, we focused on dressing up the standard dinner and movie date. I hope you had some fun with those ideas.

This week I’m going to share date ideas that will be more about your man and what he might like to do on a date. This will vary from guy to guy but I think the principles will apply for most men.

So, I don’t know about your guy but my husband likes to be active. Whether that means, surfing, playing golf or camping; he likes to get out doors.

Maybe you don’t so much? I actually don’t SO much but this week I’m going to take one for the team and hang out with my hubby on his terms.

Here are some ideas. . .

8.   If your husband is a sports fan (and I mean any kind of sport), attend a game or sporting event with him. Whether it’s football, hockey, professional golf; he wants you be his friend and companion and would love it if you went along with him.

9.   Let him teach you something. Is your man an expert at cars? Find a car show and go with him. Maybe he loves photography? Go somewhere beautiful and let him give you some pointers on how to take a great shot. Point is, make him feel like you value the things that are important to him, let him know that he’s not just a provider but an interesting person and maybe you’ll even learn some fun things too.

10. If you can swing it, get a way for a night and go camping; this may or may not be a new experience for you but make it new. Maybe head to a new spot or push yourself to the next level of roughing it. Snuggling up in a small tent while taking in some beautiful sites = romance!

11. Short on time or funds? Go out for an evening walk or take a hike together and watch the sunset. Or head down to the park and shoot hoops together or play tennis at the park.

12. Head out to the driving range and hit some golf balls together. Maybe let him give you a few pointers.

13. Join a gym together or just set up a regular time to exercise together, bonus is your husband gets to check you out in yoga pants and you get fit together. Extra bonus is that many gyms offer child care which could be great if finding a sitter is a challenge. For the win!

14. Go bowling or rock climbing together, bonus points if you try something that’s new to both of you. It may become your new hobby.
Most importantly, let him know that value your time together and his friendship.

*** Finally, make sure after all that fun; you still have time to have “dessert” at home. (ahem, I think you know what I mean)

Alright, let’s meet back here on Wednesday for a re-cap. And have a great weekend!
