Hi! And welcome. OK, so what can I tell you about myself? Basically, I’m a peacemaker, an encourager, and a work in progress. I love digging into, studying and teaching the Word and sharing what I learn with others.
Also, I love personality tests. My Love Language is words of affirmation and my top spiritual gift is exhortation. So, I’m pretty much a words girl; I like to use them to encourage, empower and exhort.
Things I love- thoughtfulness, a cold can of coke, mint chocolate anything, and my family—I have one seriously awesome husband and four (mostly) delightful children.
I have an MA in Counseling Psychology and I’m a certified school counselor in California. After working in counseling, I fell in love with life coaching. Many years ago, I worked with a fitness coach and she made working out SO fun that we quickly became friends and I forgot working out was hard 🙂
I decided I wanted to DO THAT and help women not in fitness but in all areas of life. Because I believe life change is HARD but it can feel a bit more manageable when you have someone walking alongside you. That’s when I KNEW I wanted to be a coach and I spent many years coaching and it is work that I absolutely LOVE. But. . .
After several years in the coaching field, I felt like something was missing. I loved coaching but believe self-help will only get you so far, what we really need for life transformation is God-help.
The greatest change in my own life came from consistent and intentional time in prayer and studying God’s Word so I decided to pursue a calling to attend seminary that I had neglected for many years. I obtained a master’s degree in Biblical Exposition so I can be better equipped to teach the Bible and am completing a degree in Theological Studies as well. So these days I’m more of a Bible coach as I love learning and equipping other with the tools I’ve found to be most helpful. I do that by leading Bible studies, classes, and workshops.
My passion truly, both in my writing, teaching and coaching is helping others to live with integrity- essentially so that actions, values and beliefs all pointing in the same direction; that’s where change truly happens and we become who God created us to be.
But sometimes we get a little lost and often our thoughts are to blame. My goal is to get us thinking about the right things. The Bible tells us that we are to think about,
whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8
The world is loud and often leads us to think about what is untrue, scary, wrong. I want to share things that are true, lovely and good in this small online space. I hope you’ll join me.

P.S. You probably want to ask about my name. Good question! My mom made it up. It’s a combination of the first letters of my parents and grandparents’ names. As a kid, it was tough having a unique name. As an adult, I’ve really embraced the fact that my name is made up from pieces of people I love. And I have a special affinity for “Z” names. If you have one, you must be super awesome.
