A Reluctant Blogger. . .

The word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew  you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Jeremiah 1:4-5

I have reluctantly come to the realization that I’m a writer, even though I can’t say that I absolutely love writing per se.

Join me over at Allume where I’m sharing a bit of my story today.

  1. Yes!! I really hate to write, words are a constant struggle for me, but yet I have a blog. I don’t like to read either, which is a strange thing for homeschoolers. Thank you for sharing. It blessed me.

  2. Thanks for your blog today. I too was a reluctant writer – a counselor by profession, tired of the self-help books I was seeing in the Christian counseling genre. God pushed me into writing and the funniest thing is that I didnt’ go for my PhD because I didn’t want to write a dissertation. Now 7 books later, I guess I’ve written a ew dissertations.

  3. Thank you for this post. I find myself being a reluctant writer. I waver between should I write, should I not write. Does He want me to blog? Who would read what I write? Please pray for me as this has been nearly a three year struggle. To do or not to do? This post is exactly what I needed to read today. May God bless you and yours beyond your wildest dreams!

  4. I’m not sure I’ve ever commented on your blog before. But you are in my reader now! I am so thankful that you’ve been obedient to what the Lord has called you to do. You are a blessing!

  5. Hi. Thank you so much for your post today. I’m glad you pushed through your fears. You are a writer and a good one at that. Building up the Church is priceless. I too struggle, but was frozen for years writing only in my journals. Then one day I just asked Him and He revealed to me, “Write what I give you and I will send the Reader.” So I write for the “one reader” and live in the adventure of obedience.

    1. Hi Chris, thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind words. Yes, I also strive to write for the One reader and it is always a blessing. Let’s keep writing my friend. Have a blessed weekend.
