OK, what can I tell you about myself? Basically, I’m a peacemaker, an encourager, and a work in progress. I try to be flexible and kind and fiercely authentic. It’s important that I’m always honest, with myself and with you. And that I uphold the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality in my coaching practice.
Besides that, I don’t have many rules. I would probably accidentally break them.
I love personality tests. I believe knowing yourself is the first step toward progress. I’m a Nine on Enneagram and a ENFJ—a peacemaking idealist who, for the most part, has her feet firmly planted on the ground. My Love Language is words of affirmation and my top spiritual gift is exhortation. So I’m pretty much a words girl; I like to use them to encourage, empower and exhort.
I love quiet displays of courage, thoughtfulness, a cold can of coke, mint chocolate anything, and my family—I have one seriously awesome husband and four (mostly) delightful children.
I started this journey to be a counselor. I have an MA in Counseling Psychology and I’m a certified school counselor in California. Along the way, I fell in love with life coaching. Many years ago I worked with a fitness coach and she made working out SO fun that we quickly became friends and I forgot working out was hard 🙂
I decided I wanted to DO THAT and help women not in fitness but in all areas of life. Because I believe life change is HARD but it can feel a bit more manageable when you have someone walking alongside you. That’s when I KNEW I wanted to be a coach but it took me several years to actually make it happen (mostly because I was afraid and fear keeps us STUCK).
Eventually I got brave and became a certified life coach and now I am doing the work I LOVE. I am also trained in Dr. Brene’ Brown’s Daring Way methodology as a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator and love facilitating her work; it is absolutely life changing.
I love encouraging my clients to live a full and meaningful life simply by learning the essence of what it means to be themselves and I love watching the light bulbs in their heads begin to flicker and spark with new insight they can put in practice immediately. Because many of us have spent WAY too long following what we think we “should” be doing have gotten out of alignment with what WE value most.
In addition to coaching, I use my knowledge and experience as a school counselor and a parent to help families navigate their children’s educational journeys. I have worked in both private and public school settings. And, my own children went to both public and private schools before we made the decision to homeschool. If you are considering a transition for your child, please send me a message, I would love to help.
Honestly, I’m just a quirky, regular person who’s really good at what she does and who has learned through the years that it’s okay to own that. I am so grateful that I get to teach others how to do the same.
And my passion truly, both in my writing and through coaching is helping women live with integrity- essentially living with actions, values and beliefs all pointing in the same direction; aligned and I strive to live what I coach.

P.S. You probably want to ask about my name. Good question! My mom made it up. It’s a combination of the first letters of my parents and grandparents names. As a kid, it was tough having a unique name. As an adult, I’ve really embraced the fact that my name is made up from pieces of people I love. And I have a special affinity for “Z” names. If you have one, you must be super awesome.
