Trouble

In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33

I wish I didn’t have to include it but it IS a promise in the bible. We will have troubles. There’s just no sugar coating it or thinking that as Christians we will somehow be excluded from the pain and suffering that comes from living in a broken world.

And as I write I have friends and loved ones dealing with troubles. Wayward children, illness, marital issues, substance abuse, depression.

But here’s the thing, He didn’t leave us with you’re going to have troubles so too bad for you. No, let’s look at the end of the statement; “But take heart! I have overcome the world.

Our God is bigger than whatever tribulations we may face in this life.

He is bigger than:

• cancer
• divorce
• addictions
• adultery
• infertility
• relational issues
• anxiety
• ANYTHING

He is bigger. He has overcome.

Can we live in that victory despite our current circumstances?

Trusting that He works in all things and that no matter what challenges we may face He will never leave us. . .
