Rising Strong in Faith- 2 Day Retreat Intensive

We know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.  And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Romans 5:3-5

If we show up in our faith often enough, we will fall and find ourselves hurting. How do we stay the course and persevere during and after the hard falls?

Rising Strong in Faith is about what it takes to get back up and how owning our stories of struggle gives us the power to write a daring new ending. Struggle can be our greatest call to courage and the clearest path to a wholehearted life.

Based on the groundbreaking work of Dr. Brené Brown and her research around the resilience needed to get up when we fall as well as Biblical truths, this two-day intensive will empower you to more effectively write those new endings and handle stressful situations with increased clarity of how our emotions may threaten to pull us away from our core values.

During our time together we will:

  • Explore the power of curiosity in transformation
  • Understand how we are wired to create stories even when they aren’t true or helpful
  • Develop strategies for changing our narrative when we’re holding on to stories that God may want us to release
  • Experience the rising strong process of reckoning with emotion, rumbling with our stories, and rising with a brave new ending
  • Gain a greater capacity to see the relationship between grief and forgiveness
  • Increase resilience in the face of many inner and outer challenges
  • Integrate all parts of our story so as to live and love with our WHOLE hearts

This retreat will include a combination of short video teaching, self-exploration, small group sharing and skill building exercises.  We will learn with and from each other and create a safe space where our stories are honored.  The connections between Brown’s research, Scripture, and the life of faith are endless so come ready for lively conversation and laughter!  You will leave with new courage practices to empower you to love and lead with increased emotional wellness, connection to others, God, and yourself, and new resiliency skills.  If you’ve attended a previous Daring Way™ event, this will contain new content and support what you’ve already explored.
